Over the last year I’ve fallen quite a bit in love with the color gray. That doesn’t include those gray hairs, showing up on my head though, lol. I’m rather talking about furniture, wall color, fabrics etc. I like the soft shades as well as the darker ones and the brownish grays as much as those with a bluish undertone. The color has sneaked into my creations and our home decor here and there already. You might remember my recycled fabrics pumpkins or the chippy mirror that I had painted a medium gray.
I use diluted black silk dye to turn white fabrics and laces into shades of gray. That works just great.
The lace heart front consists of five different eyelet laces and is embellished with gray beads and coffee dyed linen buttons.
I like to combine gray with cream or beige. That softens the sometimes cool appearance of gray.
The pretty French labels on the gift bag and the tag were provided by The Graphics Fairy and printed out on fabric.
You’ll get to see more gray fabric creations from me this year but there will also be white ones as well as recycled or upcycled projects using found objects and lovely junk. Lots of ideas are spinning in my head :).
Have a wonderful weekend!
I’ll be joining these great parties:
